Warranty

DC Power Engineering Inc’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to replacing and/or repairing at DC Power Engineering Inc’s discretion. DC Power Engineering Inc warrants all units for 24 months from the in-service date.

 

WARRANTY RETURNS POLICY.  If DC Power Engineering Inc and the customer come to an agreement that the unit appears to be defective, DC Power Engineering Inc will issue a pickup tag.  Any units sent to DC Power Engineering Inc without a “Return Authorization” (RA) have the right to be refused upon receipt.  Upon arrival of the acceptance, DC Power Engineering Inc will evaluate the unit. If the unit is found to be defective, it will be repaired or replaced at DC Power Engineering Inc’s discretion and returned at no cost via ground shipping to the user or dealer.  The end user or dealer may upgrade to expedited shipping at the customer’s expense. Units found not to be defective will be returned to the customer at the customers expense unless otherwise noted.

RETURNS. All DC Power Alternators are made to order personally for YOU. If you cancel your order or decide to return the alternator for a refund you are subject to a 15% restocking fee and shipping will not be refunded.

 

MISUSE.   Brushes are considered a normal wear item and can be repaired and replaced within its warranty period at a reduced cost. The product must be returned to DC Power Engineering Inc at the customer’s expense. Repaired alternators will be returned to the customer at the customers expense unless otherwise noted. Damage done to the vehicle by insufficient cable and fuse sizing are not covered under warranty or by DC Power Engineering. All DC Power Alternators are made to order personally for YOU. The warranties provided herein will not apply if the alternator, in the judgment DC Power Engineering Inc, has been subjected to overload beyond published output ratings, misuse, excessive contamination, negligence, accident, corrosive atmospheres, paint over-spray, open circuit voltage, welding on the chassis, excessive thermal shock, excessive vibration, stators that are burned, physical damage to the alternator, damage due to dropping the alternator, alterations to the unit by unauthorized personnel, disassembly, operation contrary to the Company's instructions or if the serial number has been altered, defaced, or removed.  DC Power Engineering Inc shall not be liable for any default or delay in the performance of these warranties caused by contingency beyond its control, including war, government restriction or restraints, strikes, fire, flood or short or reduced supply of raw materials, or parts.  Units subject to misuse will be repaired and billed at DC Power Engineering Inc’s standard parts costs, labor and shipping. VOID.   The warranties herein shall be null and void if the alternator is not maintained according to DC Power Engineering Inc’s instructions. The unit must be installed according to DC Power Engineering Inc’s instructions. For units above 200 Amps, the units shall be upgraded to a minimum of 2GA wiring or better. This includes the alternator positive post to battery positive, engine ground to chassis ground and chassis ground to battery ground.

 

REMEDY.   The warranties set out in this certificate are the exclusive rights of the original owner of the unit and is non-transferrable. This warranty does not affect any other legal rights you may have by operation of law.
