Installation Guide for Relay Harness With Blue Sense Wire
Wires on Relay Harness is as follows:
- Red wire with ring terminal
- Blue wire with ring terminal
- Red wire without a ring terminal
- White wire with a ring terminal
NOTE: All of the following steps are to be followed on the alternator you will be installing the relay harness on.
Step 1: Connect the positive wire to the positive output stud of the alternator while ensuring the wire is not connected to any power source. EX: Another Alternator and/or Battery.
Step 2: Connect the red wire with the ring terminal to the positive output post of the alternator you will be connecting the plug to.
Step 3: Connect the blue wire with the ring terminal to the positive output post of the alternator.
Step 4: The red wire without a ring terminal is used to trigger the alternator to turn off. Find a positive ignition wire. This is also known as a key on/key off wire.
Step 5: Connect the white wire with a ring terminal to a grounding location. Ensure that this ground has clear contact with bare metal for an optimum ground.
Step 6: Reconnect the positive wire(s) that you have going to the alternator you just installed the relay harness on.
